Inspired by International Family Day, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines recently surprised three people who live in Canada, but are separated from their loved ones.
Their emotional tales are part of a video launched on KLM Canada social media platforms and youtube channel.
The airline brought together a son and his mother diagnosed with cancer, twin sisters who have not seen each other for nearly two years, and a young couple who met in Canada, but now live an ocean apart — three moving surprise reunions that illustrate the power of family and love.

“Despite living in this ultra-connected age, we all know how difficult living away from a loved one can be. The distance deprives us of the little joys we share on a regular basis like birthdays and Sunday brunches,” said Roland Coppens, commercial director, Air France KLM Canada. “At KLM, we are all about caring and delighted to create memorable experiences for our customers, like the ones lived by Timothy, Olivia and Berfin.”
KLM invites people to join its own extended family by visiting bit.ly/bringingpeopletogether and entering the Reunite With Your Loved Ones contest for a chance to win a pair of tickets to anywhere on its worldwide network and fly to someone they haven’t seen in some time.
