KLM Brings Premium Comfort To Toronto

Beginning Oct. 30, KLM will introduce its new intermediate cabin, the Premium Comfort Class, on its daily Toronto-Amsterdam route.

The new cabin will be available on flight KL 692 from Toronto to Amsterdam.  The B787-10 will be equipped with 318 seats:  38 in Word Business Class; 28 in the new Premium Comfort cabin; and 252 in Economy of which 39 are Economy Comfort seats boasting more legroom and recline than a standard seat.

Jean-Eudes de La Bretèche, General Manager for Air France KLM Canada, said: “We are delighted that Toronto has been chosen amidst the first destinations to offer the brand-new KLM Premium Comfort class to our customers. Passengers will enjoy wider seats, more legroom, a larger screen and a distinctive catering concept.”

The new seats in Premium Comfort Class were designed by Collins Aerospace together with specialists at KLM Customer Experience. Apart from their elegant design and comfort features, the seats are also lighter than previous designs. Similar care was taken in selecting catering materials for Premium Comfort. They are either reusable (special cutlery, bowls and plates made of lightweight polypropylene) and those that are not reusable are made of recycled PEF. All materials were carefully assessed in terms of circularity and weight, without detracting from aesthetic features.

In Canada, KLM flies to Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton and Montreal.  It also provides convenient connections between Montreal-Trudeau to/from Ottawa and Québec City which are carried out daily onboard KLM (or Air France) buses equipped with Wi-Fi.
