Kirk Joins CanJet Vacations
CanJet Vacations has unveiled its new executive team as it gears up for its sales launch later this month. The tour company has picked John Kirk as its new vice-president, sales & marketing, effective Aug. 18, 2014. The industry veteran has extensive experience in sales, distribution and e-commerce and he will lead all of these initiatives in his new role with CanJet Vacations.
Kirk is leaving Porter Escapes — where he was the Director, Vacations and Packaged Products – to take on the new role. Before that, he was senior vice-president, retail and e-commerce for Thomas Cook North America.
CanJet Vacations’ vice-president and general manager, Robbie Goldberg has been busy with all the necessary preparations to hit the market with a world-class product. Other CanJet Vacations’ team members in the Toronto office location include Krystal Langenberg (Sales), Josee Girard (Product) and Shirley Lawson (Product).
Chris Kelly, CanJet’s vice-president of business development — who is overseeing the CanJet Vacations business – commented: “We are very excited about the talented team we have assembled to lead CanJet Vacations through its start-up phase and prepare the company for future growth. We will have everything needed for an unforgettable travel experience including luxurious four star plus hotels, a proven vacation airline in CanJet Airlines, and we will be committed to exceptional service throughout our guests’ journey. Our goal is to redefine how Canadians travel. ”
