Kayak Kauai
A new kayak and snorkeling tour by Kayak Kauai will give guests the chance to paddle a sea kayak along the south shore coast of Kauai, to experience iconic sights and get the chance to possibly see whales.
On the new Poipu Whale Watch and Snorkel Tour, clients will reach scenic attractions like the Spouting Horn, the remote Lawai Valley, the Nomilu Pond and the cove of Wahiawa. In doing so, they will paddle sea paths taken by early Polynesians and whaling captains.
Winter is the season for humpback whales and they are often the highlight of the kayak voyage.
While breaching whales are a possible sighting, paddlers are more likely to spot spinning dolphins, flying fish and green sea turtles, plus endangered monk seal in the water or on a sunny beach.
The whale watch and snorkel tour is offered from October through April.
