JTB Releases 2016 Fam Schedule
The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) in Canada has released its schedule of upcoming familiarization tours for Canadian travel agents.
Agents are invited to apply now for the tour departing from their closest major city. FAMs are scheduled from September through early December and will highlight Jamaica’s resort areas of Negril, Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.
The trips are a great opportunity for agents to be updated on product developments as well as obtain the tools to better sell Destination Jamaica to their clients. For more information and to register, agents should visit http://www.visitjamaica.com/canada and click on the “Fam Tours” tab.
FAMs depart via WestJet from the originating gateway through Toronto as follows (except Ottawa, which will be direct to Montego Bay): Regina, Sept. 8-15, $550; Saskatoon, Sept. 15-23, $550; Montreal, Sept. 20-27, $519; Calgary, Sept. 22-29, $550; Toronto (general), Oct. 13-18, $499; Winnipeg, Oct. 13-18, $499; Toronto (incentive groups specialists only), Oct. 20-25, $699; Toronto (TAND Specialty FAM – by invitation only), Nov. 9-15, $545; Montreal, Nov. 24 to Dec. 1, $519; Ottawa, Dec. 3-10, $599.
The cost includes return air via WestJet to/from Montego Bay, all meals, local transportation, sightseeing, taxes and shared accommodation in a twin-bedded room. Overnight hotel in Toronto (if required) will be the responsibility of the agent.
The application deadline is 30 days prior to departure. Successful applicants will be confirmed five days after the application deadline.
