JTB hosts virtual weddings expo
Destination Jamaica brought the dreamiest of the island’s wedding and honeymoon ‘boom’ offerings to the Come Back to Romance Virtual Expo on May 9.
The country anticipates that 2024 will become the busiest year for hosting weddings and romance related activities.
This exclusive wedding expo activation, hosted by the Spoiled Agent Association, featured a local marriage officer who answered questions and helped guide travel agents to make the process smooth for couples. The session also highlighted the over 25 travel partners on accessible on island.
The Weddings Units of the Registrar’s Department and many resort wedding managers and coordinators were on hand to answer questions posed by the agents which best-practices and incorporating cultural touches to their offerings.

More than 300 travel agents across North America attended and interacted with over 25 destination partners including Bahia Principe Hotel & Resorts, Jamaica Inn, Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, Sandals Resorts which are among the best-in-wedding destination hotels and experiences.

Agents had the opportunity to win romantic stays on-island with a grand prize of a five-night stay at Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica, a two-night stay for two at Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall, and a four-night stay for two adults at Azul Beach Resort in Negril. Two (2) nights at one of Jamaica’s newest properties, Princess Jamaica Grand were also among the giveaways. One lucky winner won a GraceKennedy basket with products and a spot on the Jamaica Fall 2024 Familiarization Trip.
Agents can still visit the showcase which will be live and available at Spoiled Agent until June 9.
