Journey of a Lifetime
CroisiEurope has chosen Canadian Christina Guan (pictured) for its “Photo Tour Summer Internship,” a journey of a lifetime which has begun in Paris.
A fourth-year student at BC’s Simon Fraser University, Guan will spend the next three months aboard 10 of CroisiEurope’s ships documenting her journey through 14 countries in Europe and Southeast Asia. While on-board, she will sharpen her writing and photography skills by creating original content and capturing photos of her trip for the CroisiEurope Photo Tour Blog and on Facebook, Instagram, Google+ and Twitter.
“A lot of people ask me why I’m so obsessed with travelling, and the answer is simple: travel is the ultimate learning experience. It forces you to get out of your comfort zone and inspires you to live more fearlessly.”
As for the journey ahead Guan says, “There are no words to describe how excited I am for the months to come, and to share this experience with you all. Thanks to CroisiEurope and Air France, my dreams are coming true and I couldn’t be more ready for it to all start.”
Guan is studying communications and business. Growing up in Vancouver, she developed a love of travelling, photography, gelato and storytelling. In addition to writing and photography, she loves graphic design and video production, making her the perfect candidate for CroisiEurope’s photo tour internship.
Over the next three months, she will travel on river cruises through France, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Croatia and Montenegro before continuing on to Vietnam and Cambodia.
