Intrepid’s latest report reveals double-digit growth

Intrepid Travel’s 2024 Integrated Annual Report shows double-digit growth, $392.6M USD in revenue (+17% YoY), and a record-breaking $26.9M USD EBITDA (+24% YoY).

Alongside recordbreaking revenue, Intrepid reported $8M USD in bonuses to eligible employees in the form of both cash and shares, reinforcing its belief that those who run the company should own it. There are currently 555 staff shareholders in the company, bringing its co-founders’ vision to life. This is also the second consecutive year of dividend payments.
The takeaway? Intrepid’s purpose-led model isn’t just working—it’s thriving.
A purpose-driven business that pays off
Beyond its financial success, Intrepid doubled down on impact in 2024:
  • Re-certified as a B Corp with its highest score ever (102.5 points), placing it among the world’s top B Corps, right next to Patagonia
  • The Intrepid Foundation raised $1.5M USD for grassroots partners across 39 countries
  • While 2024 was a year of many highlights, Intrepid accepts that it is facing challenges with its decarbonisation program, as many are across the industry. It plans to increase investment in decarbonization initiatives to accelerate its progress in this area.
Major expansion in North America & beyond
With North America a top priority, Intrepid is making big moves in 2025:
  • Opening a new U.S. sales and marketing office in Seattle
  • Expanding global operations with new country offices (DMCs), including Denmark and Amsterdam (via its acquisition of Dutch travel company Sawadee Reizen)
Customers & employees are all in
  • Record customer satisfaction: 81.5 NPS, up 4.5 points
  • All-time high employee engagement: 64 eNPS, proving Intrepid’s 3,399 employees and tour leaders are more engaged than ever
Looking ahead: 2025 & beyond
“I’m exceptionally proud of our team who are delivering the best sustainable, experience-rich trips for our customers and making a positive impact for communities around the world,” said James Thornton, CEO of Intrepid Travel.  “In 2025, we are committed to building on this success and working closely with our industry partners to show that travel can bring people together, foster greater understanding, and create positive impact when done responsibly. What we achieved last year is once again proof that it is possible to grow both profit and purpose.”
