Incredible India on Display

It was all about India last night as Services International Ltd and India Tourism, along with special guest Kuwait Airways, hosted a group of about 100 travel agents in North York.

Represented India Tourism was Roman Francis Pereira, visiting from New York, and who named a long list of reasons why travellers should visit India.

They include: culture, heritage sites (such as the Taj Mahal, Red Fort and Khajuraho), fairs and festivals, nature and wildlife, cuisine, wellness tourism, yoga, spiritual tourism, shopping, beaches, adventure, golf, MICE, destination weddings and eco-tourism.

“India stands for diversity,” he said.

And when it comes to booking India, Services International Ltd has all the bases covered. According to Garima Shamsukha, the company, which is India-based and has been in business for more than 40 years, offers customized itineraries that cover family travel, groups, FIT, luxury and river cruising, as well as special packages for first-timers.

“We have everything and we offer competitive rates because all quotes come directly from India,” said Shamsukha.

Services International has a useful interactive website and also offers annual agent fam trips from April through September.

On hand from Kuwait Airways was Savio Dias who noted that the airline partners with Air Canada and flies to 46 destinations out of Kuwait. In the works, he said, is service out of Toronto, possibly as soon as next year.
