Hilton Waikoloa Unveils Makai Experience
The Hilton Waikoloa Village, a 62-acre oceanfront resort on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii, has unveiled the Makai concept at Lagoon Tower.
Featuring 162 newly renovated rooms, including nine expansive suites, the Makai program at Lagoon Tower provides exclusive benefits and positions guests oceanfront with views of the Pacific Ocean, Kohala Mountain and Dolphin Quest Lagoon.
As the Hawaiian word “Makai” suggests, the experience exudes a new level of luxury and the ultimate in Hawaiian hospitality. It includes dedicated Makai check-in with lobby greeting, room escort with expedited luggage service, Makai plush robes, complimentary full access to Kohala Spa facilities, preferred restaurant reservations, daily bottled water and cultural turndown, private concierge service, first day planning assistance and a dedicated cabana and lounge chair area at the Kona Pool.
After undergoing a US$15 million renovation last year that transformed the Lagoon Tower rooms with upgrades to the bathrooms, linens and furnishings, the Makai concept adds a new layer to the retreat within the resort.
