Google launches new hotel price tracking function

Google recently announced the global launch of the “Hotel Price Tracking”  feature to receive email alerts when prices for selected accommodations decrease, considering the chosen filters (hotel category, proximity to the beach, or specific location).

This way, similar to what already happens with flight searches, travellers can now optimize their budget and save money when planning their trips. This feature is now available on google.com/hotels for mobile and desktop devices.

How to track hotel prices

To activate “Hotel Price Tracking,” follow these steps:

• Go to google.com/hotels.
• Perform a hotel search for the desired destination and dates.
• Find the “track hotel prices” option below the search filters.
• Activate this function by toggling the switch.
• Finally, Google will send email alerts when hotel prices drop.
