Get Ready To Meet With Ireland
Tourism Ireland, in partnership with sister agencies, Failte Ireland and Tourism Northern Ireland, is welcoming operators to a virtual travel trade fair this week. The annual event provides a platform for Irish tourism operators to meet new contacts and to create new business opportunities and partners.
This week, from April 20 to April 22, industry partners are attending the virtual workshops, with pre-arranged scheduled appointments between Irish trade partners and overseas buyers.
These events are among the most important in the Irish tourism event calendar, allowing industry on the island of Ireland to showcase some of the most compelling and attractive experiences Ireland has to offer in a bid to influence travel professionals attending to include the island of Ireland in their vacation programs for 2022.
The industry platform is a key part of the island of Ireland’s recovery plans and the role it plays in program development.
The virtual Meitheal workshop (3 days) and Meet The Buyer workshop (3 days) will facilitate over 11,000 scheduled appointments with overseas trade partners. Trade partners from over 18 countries are represented including Canada.
Sandra Moffatt, Tourism Ireland’s Manager, Canada, said: “For a second year in a row, Meitheal and Meet the Buyer are taking on a virtual capacity, and these events offer a key opportunity to continue to connect with the travel trade to highlight the many incredible experiences the island of Ireland has to offer.”
Moffatt continued: “Our connections with Irish industry suppliers and Canadian tour operators continues to be of the utmost importance to us, and these events ensure we are able to offer the very best experiences to their clients when the time is right to travel again.”
