Fairmont Making Tracks to Austin
The Fairmont Austin, the first hotel providing direct access to the Austin Convention Center, is scheduled to open on June 3, 2017.
The US$350 million concept has been carefully crafted by the project’s architect to accommodate additional upscale features reflective of Fairmont’s luxury design and service aesthetics.
The Fairmont Austin broke ground on Nov. 3, 2014 and, upon completion, will feature 1,066 rooms, including Fairmont Gold, to reflect that of the finest urban hotels, offering a level of service and amenities unparalleled in the city. Extensive food & beverage options will provide choices for discerning palates, and the Willow Stream Spa will offer a rejuvenating escape to travellers and locals alike.
The property will be built on 1.74 acres of land at the northeast corner of Cesar Chavez and Red River Streets with four levels of underground parking, and will be the second tallest structure in downtown Austin.
The hotel, which is now accepting group reservations, will also feature meeting and banqueting facilities.
