Eurostar, Railbookers Team Up
Eurostar and Railbookers have launched a strategic partnership featuring Europe’s only high-speed train service that directly links the UK to France, Belgium and the Netherlands, with connections to more than 100 European destinations.
The new partnership offers new, customized itineraries featuring a Eurostar journey, taking advantage of the high-speed rail service to allow North American visitors to see more of Europe in a single trip. Eurostar Vacations by Railbookers was launched in response to the ever-growing demand for independent, customized rail travel throughout the continent.
Nick Mercer, commercial director, Eurostar, said, “We continue to see growth in the North American market as visitors choose the ease, comfort and convenience of high-speed rail over plane for travel across Europe. Our new partnership with Yankee Leisure Group and their Railbookers brand offers a new and easy way for customers to find the perfect trip to suit them.”
This growth trend is not only being seen with the brand’s core demographic, but also with Gen Xers and millennials. According to Statista, approximately 30 million Americans travelled to Europe in 2017, with more than 600,000 of those visitors travelling onboard Eurostar. (Canadians made 5.45 million trips to Europe in 2017.)
Along with this partnership, Eurostar Vacations by Railbookers is also launching a 2019 brochure, which features more than 46 new products offering a variety of ways to discover the best of Europe and beyond.
A few product highlights include London, Paris and Munich and London, Amsterdam and Berlin, a never before featured combo of three of Europe’s most popular cities. Then there’s London and the Cote d’ Azur, which takes guests across the French countryside to the picturesque Mediterranean coastline. In addition, London, Paris and Bordeaux takes advantage of a new high-speed line to Bordeaux, France’s famed wine-growing region.
With the ability to book 18 months ahead of time and the opportunity to earn higher commission, there are major advantages for the travel agent market.
To get this partnership underway, Eurostar Vacations by Railbookers is offering $387 off per couple on any six- to seven-night vacation or $646 off per couple on any eight-plus-night vacation for any new bookings made by Nov. 2 for travel in 2019.
