The West Inn & Suites in Carlsbad, Ca., has a new package for guests who want to tour top breweries along historic Highway 78.

The Hops Highway Retreat package includes a four-hour tasting tour of San Diego’s fine craft beers along the historic Route 78, once used during the California Gold Rush. The stretch connecting Oceanside to Julian has been nicknamed the “Hops Highway,” and links a cluster of microbreweries. The tour visits four breweries.
