Silversea has launched a new partnership with ORCA, one of the UK’s leading marine conservation charities.
The luxury line is working with ORCA to enable guests to discover and engage with marine life on their Silversea adventures and contribute to ORCA’s ongoing marine conservation work by helping to collect critical sightings data of whales, dolphins and porpoises.
ORCA conservationists will travel on board select voyages, complementing the extensive Silversea enrichment program by sharing their knowledge of the rich diversity of marine life on these voyages.
ORCA has championed marine conservation for over 15 years and their mission is to give everyone who cares about whales and dolphins an active role in safeguarding their future.
“We strongly believe when guests travel with Silversea they become ambassadors for both the destinations and wildlife across the globe. Silversea is committed to responsible cruising, and with our guests, we will ensure that generations to come can enjoy the wonders of our oceans,” said Mark Conroy, Silversea’s managing director for the Americas.
Conservationists from ORCA will travel on board the following voyages: Silver Explorer voyage 7809 departing from San Diego to Vancouver. Voyage departs on May 2; Silver Explorer voyage 7810 departing from Vancouver to San Francisco.
