A delegation of tourism officials from North Carolina wrapped up a Canadian sales mission April 15 by hosting an industry event at the Toronto Raptors’ game against the Charlotte Hornets.
With 300 miles of coastline, mountains and historic cities like Charlotte and Asheville (home of the Biltmore House, America’s largest home), North Carolina is a popular destination with Canadians. The state is commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Civil War this year and has also emerged as a top culinary destination, boasting numerous celebrated chefs, winemakers, craft brewers and distillers.
Pictured at the event are (l-r) Lorrie Love – Outer Banks Visitors Bureau, Scott Peacock – Visit North Carolina, April Beauchamp – Visit North Carolina Canada, Brad Campbell – Translyania County, Leslie Brewer – Biltmore, Stephanie Lucas – Visit Charlotte, and Aaron Tuell – Outer Banks.
For the record, the Raptors won the game 92-87.
