A tour company in the southernmost Indian state of Kerala says those who visit the state may return home fit as a fiddle.
Wilson Mathew of Intersight Tours & Travels told a recent Toronto audience that Kerala has strong ties to the Indian form of medicine Ayurveda, which dates back some 3,000 years, and those who experience it can enjoy “rejuvenation.”
Kerala has the “most trained manpower in the world for Ayurveda,” he continued. Mathew praised Kerala as a showcase of “5,000 years of Indian culture” and added that St. Thomas’ visiting Kerala means that jurisdiction saw the arrival of Christianity before Rome did.
Mathew added that Kerala tourists can experience gourmet holidays, learning to make Indian dishes that provide “a real taste of India.”
