The German Federal Statistical Office counted 70.2 million overnight stays from foreign visitors between January and November, 2014, in accommodation facilities with 10 or more beds.
That adds an extra three million overnight stays compared with the same time period in 2013 – an increase of 4.6%. This growth puts the German incoming tourism ahead of the average European destination, which, according to the latest numbers from the UNWTO saw an increase in 2014 arrivals of 3.9%.
All Top 10 incoming markets for Destination Germany saw more overnight stays through the end of November than for the same time period in 2013.
