Flight Centre Canada has teamed up with Intrepid Travel and Cathay Pacific Airways for the company’s “2nd Annual Employee Charity” trip.
In September, 15 Flight Centre employees from across Canada will travel to Thailand to raise awareness and funds for Friends of the Asian Elephant, an organization committed to protecting and treating the Asian elephant.
Intrepid Travel has worked closely with World Animal Protection, including a three-year research program on animal welfare in Thailand and South East Asia. In 2014, Intrepid became the first global tour operator to end elephant rides and visits to animal entertainment venues on all of their trips.
Conservation is an important part of the Cathay Pacific culture. The airline is committed to supporting habitat-protection programs in Asia and encouraging responsible travel to Thailand.
Each Flight Centre team member is responsible for their trip costs as well as $1,000 in donations to Friends of the Asian Elephant. The Intrepid Foundation will be matching those donations dollar for dollar meaning a minimum $30,000 contribution. To make a donation, visit http://bit.ly/1UG0Ekv.
