Barceló Hotels & Resorts has signed a 10-year agreement to lease BlueBay City Panama, a modern four-star hotel in the Obarrio business district of Panama City.

The company’s expansion in Latin America follows a year of incorporating hotels in Europe to boost the chain’s international presence.

The 143-room Panama City hotel is located 11 miles from Tocumen International Airport, and is near the famous Tower of the Americas and two large shopping centres. BlueBay City Panama features the likes of an a la carte restaurant, sushi lounge, and rooftop bar. Two meeting rooms can hold up to 100 people, and the hotel has a gym.
