Cybercrime: Navigating the unpredictable
Cybercrime was the focus of a recent Opinium survey commissioned by World Travel Protection.
Is cybercrime an increasing threat to corporate and leisure travellers?
If so, why is that? Is it the result of more people embracing “work from anywhere” and “bleisure” travel that cybercrime is rising?
Or, are other factors at play?
What the survey says
World Travel Protection’s regional security director for the Americas, Frank Harrison, took the time to talk with Canadian Travel Press and offer some insights on the survey’s findings.
“There’s no doubt that in 2024, there is an increased urgency to implement programs safeguarding business travellers,” Harrison said. “Rapid changes in global dynamics, emerging geopolitical threats, and evolving technologies demand a proactive approach.”
