Celebrate Valentine’s with free vow renewals
Outrigger Hotels and Resorts is making Valentine’s Day even sweeter this year by offering lovebirds two romantic Valentines offers at two romantic Outrigger destinations.
To make this Valentine’s Day extra special, couples staying at Outrigger Reef on the Beach or Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach in Hawaii can say “I do” once more along the Waikiki shore in a traditional Hawaiian vow renewal ceremony. For those looking to celebrate love in the South Pacific, Outrigger on the Lagoon • Fiji is offering a Vakavouvi Vows & Romance package.
“The iconic beach front locations of Outrigger Hotels and Resorts naturally provide a picture-perfect backdrop for romance,” said Bitsy Kelley, vice-president of corporate communications for Outrigger Hotels and Resorts. “Our Valentine’s Day vow renewal offers are a truly unique way for couples to honor their love and celebrate their time together in paradise.”
In Hawaii, each island-inspired ceremony is conducted by a non-denominational Hawaiian officiant and features distinct Hawaiian cultural elements set to the backdrop of world-famous Waikiki Beach. The ceremony begins with a traditional Hawaiian welcome chant. Couples are then treated to a graceful hula and serenaded with Hawaiian music before being blessed with a gentle sprinkling of sea water and reciting vows in the Hawaiian language. The ceremony concludes with a performance of the Hawaiian Wedding Song, accompanied by a hula. A complimentary photo and commemorative certificate are presented to each couple at the conclusion of the ceremony to remember the day.
The Valentine’s Day program will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 14 at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach. The Hawaiian ceremony is open to guests of both the Outrigger Reef on the Beach and the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach. Couples must sign up at their respective hotel’s concierge desk prior to the ceremony to make a reservation.
Room rates during this popular time period start from $275per night at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach and $309 per night at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach.
