Canadian Travel Advisor Wins Virtuoso Award
Independent travel advisor Sheila Gallant-Halloran, owner of Lush Life Travel (an affiliate of Vision) has won a prestigious 2022 Virtuoso Luminaries, Legends, and Leaders Award. Receiving her award in the Wellness category during Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas earlier this month.
The announcement was made by Stephen Smith, senior vice president, leisure marketing for Vision Travel and Direct Travel.
Ottawa-based Gallant-Halloran commented that she was honoured to have that recognition bestowed upon her by her travel supplier partners.
She said: “In my past life as an actuary, I dealt with return on investment. As a travel advisor, I focus on return on life. Wellness travel is really about healthy living and self-care — so after the past two-plus years of pandemic stresses, isolation, and being cut off from the world, we are all ready to reclaim our power, and put our lives more in balance.”
And Gallant-Halloran added: “I look forward to helping more clients live their lush life and continue their wellness journey through travel.”
Also, visiting the podium was Gallant-Halloran’s American colleague, Victoria Boomgarden, CTC, president of Direct Travel Luxe affiliate Elan Travel. A seasoned industry veteran with over 40 years in the business, Napierville, Ill-based, Boomgarden, who specializes in the world’s finest hotels, villas, and experiences received the award in the Ultraluxe Category. “I am honoured to receive this award,” she said.
And she continued: “After more than four decades in the travel industry, I fully appreciate that any one of us is only as good as our partners. I am particularly blessed to have benefited from the mentorship and continuing support of many outstanding travel advisors, and I am privileged to work with a worldwide network of suppliers who approach every day with an unrelenting focus on excellence. I thank them for making this possible.”
Said Smith: “We are very proud to have been the choice of these two impressive advisors and look forward to seeing more on the Virtuoso podium soon.”
