Calgary’s Crowfoot Travel Agency welcomes new ownership
After 25 years of dedicated service in Calgary, Crowfoot Travel Agency is entering an exciting new era, as longtime owner Ken Stewart passes the torch to new owners Kim Paterson and Karina Fong.
This transition not only honours the legacy Ken has built since founding the agency in 1999 but also brings fresh energy and innovation to support both travel advisors and clients.
“Starting our own agency had always been in the back of our minds, but we wanted to truly understand what that journey would entail,” said Fong. “Ken built an agency known for trust, integrity, and expertise, and when the opportunity arose to step into ownership, we knew this was the right next step for us.”
As travel advisors age, more owners are looking to slow down or retire and sell their agencies. If an owner’s children don’t want to take it over, it can be hard for an agency to find the right new owners. For Ken, finding the right successors was a top priority. “I’ve known Karina for a long time and was impressed by both her and Kim’s dedication to the industry. When they approached me about starting their own venture, I realized they were the perfect fit to carry Crowfoot Travel forward,” Stewart said.
“Crowfoot Travel has always been about exceptional service and strong industry partnerships,” Paterson added. “We’re excited to honour that legacy while introducing new efficiencies, strengthening advisor support, and ensuring travelers continue to receive the best possible experiences.”
