Todd Ryan has been appointed area director of sales and marketing for Starwood Hotels & Resorts – Eastern Canada, based at the The Westin Ottawa. With direct responsibility for the sales and marketing efforts at The Westin Ottawa, Ryan will also partner with the sales and marketing leaders at the Starwood-owned and managed hotels in Eastern Canada. He brings more than 15 years of hotelier and sales expertise to the position. Ryan is making the move to Canada’s capital from New York City, where he was most recently area director of sales and marketing for Starwood Hotels in the New York and New Jersey area. Previously, he was director of sales and marketing at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel and previous sales and marketing tenures in San Antonio, Monterey and San Francisco, experiencing Westin, Sheraton, Hilton and Hyatt brands.
