Shangri-La

Shangri-La Hotel, Vancouver has named Kari Koskela general manager. Koskela joins the hotel from the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver where he has served as hotel manager since 2012. Koskela has more than 20 years in hospitality experience, covering all aspects of hotel operations. During the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games, he served as general manager at the Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver. Koskela spent five years in the United States from 2005 to 2010, where he honed his senior management skills as director of food and beverage for the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, and as hotel manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Washington D.C. During a long tenure with Four Seasons, Koskela worked mainly in food and beverage management roles at various properties, including Nevis, Tokyo, Toronto and Seattle.
