Theresa Calcos has been appointed sales manager of Leisure Groups and Weddings for North America Oasis Hotels & Resorts.

Calcos joins Oasis with almost 20 years of experience in the destination leisure events travel market. Her sales and marketing, product development and special event group planning and operations background will bring valuable expertise to Oasis Groups.

Calcos has worked at high profile companies such as AlSol Hotels and Sol Melia – Paradisus, among others.

Her new role will encompass promoting, implementing and supporting leisure group business ranging from weddings and honeymoons to bachelor/bachelorette getaways and other celebratory occasions. In addition to romance leisure travellers and special event groups, she will work closely with North American travel agents and tour operators to educate, promote and support the program through webinars, trade shows and specialized fam trips.
