Belgium airports to close on March 31 due to national strike

Belgium’s airports have advised that they will be closed on March 31, 2025 due to a national strike by security staff and handlers personnel.

In an alert on its website, Brussels Airport said that it expects “major disruptions to airport operations’’ on the day of the strike.

Charleroi Airport also advised that it would be closed, saying that the lack of staff to ensure safe operations made the move necessary.

As a result all flight scheduled to and from the airport on March 31 are being cancelled.

Brussels Airport is taking similar actions, advising that departing passenger flights would not operate on March 31 and indicating that with the cancellation of departing flights, “cancellations are also possible on arriving flights”
