Avalon reveals plans for two more suite ships
Cruising with Avalon Waterways will become an even more “suite” experience in 2015.
Thanks to the overwhelming response Avalon’s Suites Ships have received, the river cruise company has announced it will unveil two additional Suite Ships — The Avalon Tranquility II and Avalon Tapestry II.
The addition of these ships, plus three new Suite Ships scheduled to be unveiled this spring (Avalon Impression and Avalon Poetry II in March; Avalon Illumination in June), will bring the fleet’s Panorama class Suite Ship total to 10, or 66% of the company’s fleet.
These innovative ships include Panorama suites, featuring the industry’s only Open-Air Balconies, which provide travellers with the largest windows and sliding glass doors that open seven-feet-wide from a spacious seating area.
Honouring its commitment to provide the newest, roomiest and “viewiest” staterooms in Europe, Avalon’s Suite Ships boast two full decks of these suites.
“Eighty per cent of the rooms on our Suite Ships are 200-square-foot Panorama Suites or 300-square-foot Royal Suites,” said Patrick Clark, managing director of Avalon Waterways. “And our smallest stateroom in the fleet is still a very comfortable, at 172-square-feet.”
To make a cruise on one of Avalon’s sleek new ships appear even more tempting, the company is currently offering up to 10% early booking discount on all of its 2015 European cruises, as well as the opportunity to lock in you airfare.
