Arajet starting sales operations from Punta Cana airport

Arajet has opened sales of routes that will connect the Punta Cana International Airport with North and South America; to strengthen the arrival of visitors in the eastern part of the country and continue to consolidate the Dominican Republic as the new air hub of the continent.

Already, Arajet has started operations to connect Punta Cana with Sao Paulo, Toronto, Montreal, Santiago de Chile, Lima, Mexico City and Cancun; indicating that these routes will begin on Oct. 27, 2024 and will also include connections to other destinations in the continent.

The announcement of Arajet’s direct flights to Punta Cana also comes with an introductory promotional offer that features fares starting at US$120 each way, including taxes.

Arajet CEO and Founder, Victor Pacheco Mendez said that the airline continues to strengthen its growth and expansion by making Punta Cana its second base and connecting it with the robust network of destinations they offer.

He pointed out that: “At Arajet we are committed to making the Dominican Republic the new air hub of the continent and very soon we will be adding other destinations that will fly from Punta Cana, such as Buenos Aires, Quito, Guayaquil, Bogota, Medellin and Cartagena with the most competitive prices in the market.”

In addition, Pacheco indicated that the base at Las Americas International Airport will continue to operate as usual and that many destinations served by Arajet will be served from both airports.

Said Pacheco: “Our goal is for all passengers have as many options as possible and destinations,  in Mexico or Colombia, for example, we will fly from both airports, and we will maintain a daily bus that will connect both airports by land to increase the number of connection possibilities for travelers.”

Punta Cana Airport becomes Arajet’ s third destination in the Dominican Republic, as in addition to the AILA, the airline also maintains regular flights at Cibao International Airport and is exploring the possibility of adding flights from Puerto Plata International Airport.
