Arajet now offering Canadians cheap flights to Punta Cana

Arajet, the Caribbean low-price airline, has started selling routes connecting the Punta Cana International Airport with Toronto (YYZ) and Montreal (YUL).

This will provide Canadian travellers with direct access to the eastern part of the Dominican Republic and continue to consolidate the country as the continent’s new air hub.

Operations connecting Punta Cana with Toronto and Montreal for this winter are now available. Prices start at CDN$165 (USD$120) each way, including taxes. These routes will begin on Oct. 27 of this year and will include connections to other destinations on the continent, like Sao Paulo, Chile, and more.

Arajet CEO and Founder Victor Pacheco Mendez expressed that the airline continues to strengthen its growth and expansion by making Punta Cana its second hub and connecting it with its robust network of destinations.

“At Arajet, we are committed to making the Dominican Republic the new air hub of the continent and very soon we will be adding other destinations that will fly from Punta Cana, such as Buenos Aires, Quito, Guayaquil, Bogota, Medellin and Cartagena with the most competitive prices in the market,” explained Pacheco Mendez.

In addition, Pacheco Mendez indicated that the base at Las Americas International Airport (LAIA), near Santo Domingo, will continue to operate as usual and that many destinations served by Arajet will be offered from both airports.

“Our goal is for all Arajet passengers to have as many options and destinations as possible. In Mexico or Colombia, for example, we will fly from both airports and maintain a daily bus connecting travelers by land to increase the number of possible connections,” added Pacheco Mendez.

Punta Cana Airport becomes Arajet’s third destination in the Dominican Republic. In addition to LAIA, the airline maintains regular flights at Cibao International Airport and is exploring adding flights from Puerto Plata International Airport.
