AmaWaterways has reported its strongest month ever for future cruise bookings. A record-setting September saw 2017 bookings up significantly, indicating the outlook for European river cruising remains optimistic.

Kristin Karst, executive vice president and co-owner of AmaWaterways, said: “We couldn’t be more thrilled to announce that our company has completed its most successful month for future bookings in our 14-year history.”

Karst continued: “We place a heavy emphasis on providing our guests with immersive experiences and exceptional service. Our personal touch and attention to detail has allowed our company to experience continuous growth into 2017 and we look forward to seeing many successful months ahead.”

In 2017, passengers will have a chance to experience a number of new additions and enhancements and it will also introduce new itineraries and an expanded partnerships with Adventures by Disney and Backroads.

Delivering a new twist on European family travel, AmaWaterways works hand-in-hand with the Adventures by Disney team to offer tailored excursions and activities to appeal to each member of the family.

Additionally, AmaWaterways collaborated with Backroads to host the ultimate active river cruising experience, with biking, walking and hiking cruises perfect for solo travelers, couples and families.

As a result, AmaWaterways has been successful in attracting new demographics to river cruising and continues to see increased numbers of younger travelers onboard its cruise ships.

Rudi Schreiner, president and co-owner of AmaWaterways, observed that: “We are confident in the state of river cruising, and the record number of future bookings solidifies our belief that 2017 will be a year of restoration for the river cruise industry.”

Schreiner pointed out that: “River cruising is a highly desirable method of luxurious and experiential travel and we take great pride in delivering world-class accommodations and excursions for our guests.”
