The itinerary also included visits to several of Peru’s landmarks, such as the city of Lima, the Ica wine region, the Paracas desert, the city of Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, as well as a day of immersion in an Inca community at La Base Lamay. These diverse experiences have helped to raise awareness of Peru’s cultural, gastronomic and traditional heritage among key players in the Canadian travel industry.
Jhadyd Gonzalez, National Sales Manager at Air Transat, said that: “This trip has strengthened the ties between the partners, improved their understanding of the destination and generated a strong enthusiasm to promote Lima and other regions of Peru. This demonstrates Air Transat’s commitment to enriching its offer by introducing attractive destinations such as Peru.”
