Advisors get an inside look at what’s new in Anguilla

Anguilla continues to build on its success in 2024 and is looking to encourage more Canadians to visit the destination in 2025 and beyond.

Kimberly King, Chief Marketing Officer and Sharon Lowe, Marketing Officer for the Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB) were in Canada this week for events in both Toronto and Montreal and that was the message they brought with them.

In Toronto, last night (March19), King and Lowe hosted about 35 travel advisors and tour operators for an event at the Four Seasons Hotel, providing an update on what Anguilla had to offer Canadian visitors, as well as highlighting the continued positive momentum of the island’s tourism industry.

“We definitely brought the sunshine,” King observed in welcoming her guests on the warmest day in Toronto so far in 2025.

King then went on to highlight Anguilla’s airport redevelopment plan, with a new passenger terminal building expected to be completed this Fall and an extension of the runway by 2026-2027.

The ATB’s CMO said: “It’s important that we develop and strengthen relationships with airline partners ahead of this project’s completion to assist with co-op marketing initiatives. In doing so, we can support and maintain the projected passenger demand.”

Anguilla is certainly getting noticed. It’s “Exclusively Yours” campaign drove a

25.2% increase in stayover arrivals compared to 2023, marking the highest June stayover arrivals in the past 30 years.

July 2024 saw a 20.3% increase in stayover arrivals compared to 2023, also the highest for July in the last 30 years.

Both Four Seasons and Belmond Cap Juluca will bring renewed vigor into the latter half of 2025, with new restaurants and lounges. The improvements and upgrades come in the wake of the Cap Juluca’s 5-star recognition from the 2025 Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards – joining the Four Seasons (5-star), Aurora Anguilla (4-star), QHotel (4-star), and Zemi (highly recommended).

For the travel trade, Anguilla is in the initial stages of developing a Travel Advisor Program, which will help travel agents to better understand and share Anguilla’s appeal through closer collaboration with the ATB. More to come on this soon.

As for 2025, it’s shaping up to be a landmark year for events and programs in Anguilla, with something to offer for every kind of visitor.

Beyond the return of Anguilla’s Summer Festival, the Festival Del Mar, The Anguilla Culinary Experience (ACE), and the legendary Moonsplash Musical Festival which took place last weekend, Anguilla will be rolling out expanded Volun-Tourism programs, aimed at giving visitors the chance to give back to the community and further Anguilla’s goal of becoming the region’s most sustainable island.
