We are honoured to welcome all of you to Canada and to this year’s Rendez-vous Canada (RVC) hosted in Québec City by our partners Destination Québec cite and l’Alliance de l'industrie Touristique du Quebec, sous la marque Bonjour Québec.
RVC is Destination Canada’s signature event, co-produced with the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC). For over 45 years, this event has shined a spotlight on Canada, connecting 396 international travel buyers with 488 Canadian tourism businesses, creating meaningful opportunities for all delegates.
This year, as we return to a fully in-person format, there’s an incredible sense of optimism and motivation. Whether you are representing Canada’s tourism industry or you’re visiting from one of our international markets, we all share a passion for tourism's huge contributions and future potential. Tourism is the heart of Canada’s economic engine and social fabric – benefitting more regions than any other industry. Tourism enriches our guests lives while also benefiting our communities and offering a wealth of employment opportunities.
As demand for travel and tourism continues to ramp up, there is an immense opportunity ahead for all of us and events like RVC have never been more important as we embark on the next era of travel and tourism.
Thank you to both of our teams at Destination Canada and TIAC who have worked tirelessly and collaboratively to bring this year’s event to life. We’re also grateful to our host partners and their teams for the invaluable work they have done as we bring RVC back to beautiful Québec City. Please feel free to stop by the Destination Canada and TIAC booths over the course of the show to meet our teams and learn more about our respective work.
Canada has wide-open spaces and larger-than-life landscapes that inspire awe, open hearts that foster a sense of belonging, and open minds that fuel refreshing perspectives. It’s precisely this unique blend of openness that sets Canada apart, and what we hope you will experience this year at RVC. Over the next few days, we hope you will find new inspiration, and enjoy a productive conference that will leave you with fresh opportunities and a renewed passion for travel in Canada.

As the representative of Québec’s tourism ministry working to market Québec as a tourist destination under the Bonjour Québec brand, I am very pleased to welcome you to Québec. The entire team of the Alliance de l’industrie touristique du Québec and its partners want to extend warm greetings and say an enthusiastic BONJOUR! to the 1,500 buyers, sellers and media representatives who will be here getting acquainted or reacquainted with our many attractions and the spectacular beauty of this land.
In the course of this prestigious event taking place in the marvellous setting of Québec City, the capital city of the province of Québec, you’ll have a chance to hear, say, and take the measure of this word, “Bonjour,” which gives expression to the special bond that is forged between local people and visitors from elsewhere. You’ll get a sense of everything this word conveys: a welcoming spirit, the French language and culture, and the creativity and generosity of Quebecers.
