Canada’s signature international tourism marketplace is just around the corner, and we want to help you maximize your time at RVC 2023. Here are three tips to help you prepare for your upcoming trip.
Get ready for your appointments
Sellers, it’s time to get prepared! Here are a few thought-starter questions that you should be ready to answer in your conversations with Buyers:
What is open and available for guests to experience?
What changes have been implemented to itineraries and activities?
Have any terms and conditions changed? (Buyers may be looking for flexibility in booking and in cancellation terms!)
What are your rates for 2023 and 2024?
Preparing ahead of time is key to holding productive meetings during RVC 2023. We’re looking forward to showcasing the unique, diverse, and vibrant Canadian tourism experiences on offer across the country. To provide further insights into the market trends and insights, the Destination Canada in-market teams have prepared a series of video interviews with key accounts from their market to help your plan for your meetings with Buyers from that market. Look for these on the RVC website in the coming weeks. More information to be provided in the May 15 newsletter!
Have your QR Code ready for mobile check-in at RVC
New at RVC this year is mobile check-in. All delegates will receive a QR code to check-in at the registration desk. The code will be sent by email one week prior to RVC and will also be available in the RVC mobile app.
To ensure a smooth check-in process, we recommend confirming the information in your personal profile on your MyRVC Portal. If you run into technical issues or do not receive your code by email, please email [email protected].
Pack your patience for the airport arrival process
Lineups and wait times are becoming common at busy airports worldwide this year so we encourage you to prepare for delays as you travel to Québec City’s Jean Lesage International airport.
Want to know how long it will take you to get through? That can vary – check here for current wait times, as provided by the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority, the body responsible for securing specific elements of the air transportation system, from passenger and baggage screening to screening airport workers.

Shuttle service will be available to participants for the duration of Rendez-vous Canada 2023
RVC’s organizing committee has set up a free shuttle service for RVC participants. You can use it to travel to the Convention Centre for the event, to various points of interest, and to get to the airport on the last day of the conference.
Shuttle – Airport
Special shuttles will be available on May 29 and 30 to take delegates from the airport to the downtown area. For the return trip, shuttles will also be available on June 2 from the Convention Center and on June 3 from the hotels. For schedules, please click here. We suggest you reserve your return shuttle now on to secure your seat and be able to board the vehicle.
Shuttles – Québec City
Shuttles will run continuously between the various hotels. To see detailed schedules for shuttle service to the various meeting locations, click here. Save this page to your favorites right away as it also contains useful information about the province and city of Québec that will come in handy during RVC.
Prefer to walk and explore the city on foot? Plan your routes and walking times to official RVC locations.
Walking is the ideal way to explore Québec City, and especially the perennial favourite Old Québec. There is truly no better way to see the sites, as every street corner, staircase, doorway and alleyway reveals a unique feature or attraction that could never be seen from a shuttle or coach. So lace up your walking shoes and do your part for the planet at the same time. It’s a great way to combine practicality and pleasure! The fewer times you commute, the smaller your ecological footprint.
