Join Us For The Industry’s ‘Event of the Year’
Baxter Travel Media, in partnership with Granite Productions, will host the first annual Agents’ Choice Awards Gala on June 14, 2018 in Toronto, an event which promises to be the travel industry’s “event of the year.”
The gala event will bring to life the annual Agents’ Choice Awards readership survey — entering its 19th year — in which Canadian travel agents vote for their favourite suppliers in more than 30 categories.
In 2018, the survey will be celebrated with the new Agents’ Choice Awards Gala, bringing the entire Canadian travel industry together as Baxter Travel Media honours favourites in each category.
Over the course of the evening there will be opportunities to mingle with colleagues at a cocktail reception, savour a gourmet meal and enjoy the formal awards ceremony. The evening will culminate with live musical entertainment.
“The time is right for an event of this magnitude that will bring people together face-to-face to celebrate our industry’s achievements,” says Wendy McClung, executive vice-president, Operations, Baxter Travel Media. “As the Canadian travel industry’s longest-running and most-trusted media company, we feel it’s our responsibility and privilege to create the signature event on the industry’s calendar.”
In addition to presenting the Agents’ Choice Awards, Baxter Travel Media will introduce two juried awards – the W.H. Baxter Lifetime Achievement Award to be presented to a representative who has made continuous and long-term contributions to the Canadian travel industry, and the Travel Industry Innovation Award to be presented to a leader who exemplifies creativity, modernity and originality while employing new technologies and ideas to positively impact the business of travel.
Corporate tables and individual tickets go on sale in January.
