Goway Travel has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable tourism at Indaba 2017, Africa’s largest travel trade show held in Durban, South Africa.
The company’s marketing manager Adam Hodge, Africa and Middle East general manager Kirsty Perring, and Groups Team Leader Ayesha Colquhoun donated a check for approximately US$8000 to the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre, home to the company’s adopted Rhino, Balu.
Goway Travel donates $20 toward Rhino Conservation for each booking made at any of its partner game lodges in South Africa. These contributions go toward equipment for anti-poaching units, funding to upgrade the skills of APU teams and reserve staff, funding to maintain informant networks that tip off authorities to imminent or ongoing poaching, education and awareness programs in schools and communities, funding for monitoring work and involving the communities in anti-poaching projects.
