Small-ship Arctic expedition operator Adventure Canada, and Nikon Canada have teamed up to encourage shutterbugs around the country to express exactly what Canadian adventure means to them.
Photographers are encouraged to submit images that meditate on this theme for a chance to win passage for two aboard Adventure Canada’s 2017 Greenland & Wild Labrador expedition, or camera gear from Nikon.
“Whether their idea of adventure is rappelling in the Rockies, paddling in Algonquin, or exploring a Newfoundland outpost, Adventure Canada wants to hear from citizens across the nation who are set on celebrating #Canada150 and adventure through their camera’s lens,” Adventure Canada says.
Participants are encouraged to share their photos on social media to garner votes using the hashtag #MyAdventureCanada.

Entries will be evaluated based on an online voting system (40% weighting) and a criteria rubric judged by Adventure Canada’s in-house photography experts (60%).
The criteria is based on composition, creativity, and technical quality.
The grand prize is Adventure Canada’s Greenland & Wild Labrador voyage for two aboard the Ocean Endeavour, Sept. 23 to Oct. 7, 2017, including charter flights for two from Toronto to Greenland. (ARV: $33,400).
The second prize is one Nikon D3300 HD SLR with 18-55 VR Lens (ARV: $569.95).
