Ensemble Powers Up In San Diego

An eight-piece R&B band rendering of “Soul Man” at 11 a.m. is not the usual way to kick off an annual business convention.

But with a conference theme of “Power Up,” the late morning music show was entirely consistent with the 2016 Ensemble Travel Group International Conference now underway in San Diego, at the Manchester Grand Hyatt hotel, reports Press Today’s Ted Davis from the show.

After three numbers by the band, conference co-hosts Lindsay Pearlman and Libby Rice took the stage and previewed a busy agenda for the gathering, which will run through to Saturday night.

Some 900 Ensemble member agents and preferred supplier reps are on hand for the conference, and many were at the opening general session to hear Rice quip that some 8,000 cups of coffee would be consumed during the proceedings – power up indeed.

Thursday morning’s agenda kicked off with a keynote presentation by Shark Tank co-host, Robert Herjavec.
