One Year And Counting
The countdown is on as Silversea Cruises celebrates one year to go until the christening of its new flagship, Silver Muse (pictured in an artist’s rendering).
Due for completion in April 2017, Silver Muse will showcase world-class locations to those who sail during its inaugural season, which will feature 52 UNESCO World Heritage Sites during its 2017 itinerary, from ancient Greek temples through to historic Caribbean fortresses.
Launching from Monte Carlo, Silver Muse will spend the European spring and summer months in and around the Mediterranean. Thirteen of its European ports of call boast UNESCO sites, including the Cinque Terre in Liguria, the Historic Center of Rome, the Archaeological Site of Olympia, and the Tower of Belém in Lisbon.
Following its Mediterranean tour, Silver Muse will make its first transatlantic crossing, heading to North American UNESCO highlights including the historic district of Old Quebec and the iconic Statue of Liberty in New York City.
Silver Muse’s UNESCO adventures don’t stop there as it passes through the Panama Canal on Oct. 18. Central Panama stretches out from the canal across three provinces and into two oceans, comprising everything from the lush mountains of the Cordillera Central to the beaches of the Pearl Islands in the Bahía de Panamá. As Silver Muse reaches South America, World Heritage Sites in Valparaiso and Rio de Janeiro are on tap.
Silver Muse will call at 34 countries and more than 130 ports in 2017 alone.
Silversea has introduced a dedicated brochure for Silver Muse featuring all itineraries of the inaugural season, along with new details on the ship’s eight restaurants, suites and innovative interior and exterior public areas.
