Turkish Airlines

David Batey has joined the Canadian offices of Turkish Airlines as corporate sales manager. In his multi-faceted career, and apart from the three years he spent with Nordair, Batey has been sales manager, Ontario & Western Canada for Continental Airlines, and held the position of general manager, Canada for Aviareps AG where he was responsible for carriers such as Spirit Airlines, Adria Airways, Air Namibia, Estonian Air, Aircalin, Hahn Air and Munich Airport within North America. He also formed Going Global Travel Marketing where he and US partners successfully managed Hahn Air in North America. He then took on Virgin America as a client where he was sales manager, Canada. Batey has also held management positions with Regent Holidays, TravelPlus, Delta Hotels and Resorts and Pegasus Solutions. He was also manager, corporate travel, for a large Canadian manufacturer where for six years he oversaw a multi-million dollar travel spend.
