Mounteer Named New Jonview Vice-President, GM

Transat has announced the appointment of David Mounteer as vice-president and general manager of Jonview Canada.

He will assume his new duties on Nov. 16 at Jonview’s Toronto head office.

During the past decade, Mounteer has served as general manager of three luxury boutique hotels – The Thompson Toronto and The Hazelton Hotel, also in Toronto, as well as the Auberge Saint-Antoine in Quebec City, where he earned the distinction Hotelier of the Year for 2009 in the Pinnacle Awards. He previously worked for 15 years with Fairmont hotels, including as director, Food and Beverage, at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu in La Malbaie, Quebec, and director, Conference Services and Catering, at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Jasper, Alberta.

Mounteer takes over from Andrew Lind, who has decided to tackle new challenges after 15 years with Jonview Canada.
