Uniworld To Launch Its Newest in India
Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection will launch its newest luxury river cruise ship, the Ganges Voyager II, in India in January 2016.
The 56-passenger, all-suite vessel will sail India’s Ganges River on Uniworld’s newest itinerary, the 13-day “India’s Golden Triangle & the Sacred Ganges,” featuring a seven-night cruise and five nights in Oberoi Hotels & Resorts in New Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur.
Highlights include Delhi’s Humayun’s Tomb, the Taj Mahal, the Agra Fort, Jaipur’s City Palace, Mother Theresa’s home and tomb in Kolkata, Verdic temple in Mayapur, and Kalna’s Rajbari Temples.
According to officials, the ship’s spacious suites will provide all the comforts of a five-star hotel, each offering hand-painted murals, sitting areas and French balconies with floor-to-ceiling glass doors.
The crowning jewel of the Ganges Voyager II is the one-of-a-kind Maharaja Suite, encompassing 400 square feet. The all-suite ship also features two Viceroy Suites (360 square feet), two Heritage Suites (280 square feet), and 20 Standard Suites (261 square feet).
Public areas include an observation deck, providing 360-degree views; the Governor’s Lounge, which frequently features onboard entertainment and cultural events; a spa and fitness centre; and the East India Restaurant, offering an extensive menu of both Indian-inspired cuisine and Western favourites.
