JTB’s Sandra Scott Retiring
Sandra Scott, deputy director of tourism-marketing for the Jamaica Tourist Board is retiring. Well known here in Canada in her role running the JTB’s offices, Scott’s decision to retire is a personal one.
Paul Pennicook, director of tourism for the Jamaica Tourist Board, offered his comments on Scott’s decision to retire, stating, “Sandra has been an exemplary employee throughout her career in hospitality, and particularly during her 10 years of service to the Board both in Canada and here at home in Jamaica. It has been my good fortune to have worked with her over the years.”
Pennicook continued, “I applaud her unwavering commitment to the JTB. I have personally witnessed her dedication and hard work, always focused on achieving the objectives and goals of the Board. Her professional and positive attitude will be missed.”
And he noted that, “While I am sorry she has decided to leave us, I respect her decision and envy her choice to retire and start working on her personal ‘bucket list’ … including time to enjoy the many facets of Jamaica that she has so successfully marketed for over a decade.”
Pennicook closed by saying, “Please join me in thanking Miss Scott for her service, congratulating her on a job well done and wishing her the very best in the future.”
