Change Is In The Wind
TravelBrands Inc. has named Bryan Klompas as its new chief operating officer (COO), and it has also brought Nino Montagnese on board as the new senior vice-president for Sunquest and Holiday House.
Klompas has been a key member of TravelBrands management team for the past 18 years, most recently in the role of executive vice-president of Sunquest. In that post, Klompas oversaw the financial and operational aspects of the brand and played a pivotal role in Sunquest’s turnaround and current success.
Frank DeMarinis, CEO of TravelBrands, commented: “Bryan has proven himself to be an invaluable member of the TravelBrands family and moving him into the COO role is a natural fit. With his talent for strategy development, analysis, planning and forecasting, as well as his in-depth knowledge of the industry as a whole, Bryan is perfectly positioned to oversee all of the day-to-day operations for all of our brands, and will contribute greatly to our future success.”
As for Klompas, he said: “I am delighted to step into this new role and look forward to working more closely on all aspects of the business as we continue to build the TravelBrands network. These past two years working directly on the Sunquest brand have been extremely rewarding and have provided me with many useful insights and ideas that I can now bring to the company as a whole.”
Commenting on the addition of Montagnese, DeMarinis said: “We are delighted to have Nino on our team, and to bring him back to the Sunquest family. With his incredible amount of experience and expertise, vast network, and intimate knowledge of the tour operating business and specifically Sunquest, he will be a huge asset to our organization.”
Montagnese has over 20 years of experience in the Canadian travel industry, and has held a number of senior management positions in sales and marketing at several Canadian travel companies, including 10 years at Air Canada Vacations and 11 years at Sunquest.
In joining TravelBrands, Montagnese said: “I am honoured to take on this role at Sunquest and Holiday House, and I look forward to helping in the continued growth and development of these two iconic Canadian travel companies. On top of that, having the opportunity to return to Sunquest as it embarks on such an exciting new chapter is very exciting.”
