Travel Counsellors congratulated its top performing “Gold Travel Counsellors” and thanked them for the important part they have played in the company’s success over the last 12 months by rewarding them with an exclusive “Gold Weekend” trip to Orlando. The weekend was attended by more than 90 Gold Travel Counsellors from the company’s global offices, accompanied by the company’s directors and chairman David Speakman. The annual event was hosted at the luxurious Lowes Portofino Hotel. During the weekend, agents were able to participate in a range of excursions which included VIP tours of Universal Studios and Universal’s Island of Adventure. They also visited Wet n’ Wild and Boggy Creek. A special gala dinner was also held. Travel Counsellors have the opportunity to qualify for “Gold” twice a year — in May or November. The decision as to whether they are awarded “Gold” is based on sales figures for the previous 12 months. To succeed, advisors achieved commissions totalling $129,265 or more over 12 months.
