Costa Promotion Offers Agents a Range of Perks
Costa Cruises is offering travel agents an array of perks with its “Costa’s Caribbean Celebration” group promotion.
The limited-time program features special rates, higher commissions and other bonuses for booking groups of eight or more cabins aboard Costa Luminosa and Costa Mediterranea on newly announced 10- and 11-night sailings roundtrip from Miami next winter.
Agents who book during the promotion can offer clients cruise-only fares starting from $699 p.p. (plus fees and taxes), double occupancy. The promotion offers opportunities to earn higher commissions including on shore excursions and drink packages. For every eight cabins sold, agents earn one free berth plus an agent-rate cabin, based on double occupancy. Other promotional perks include 50% reduced deposits and options for cocktail parties, onboard credits and complimentary wine or Prosecco.
“Our Caribbean Celebration gives agents a chance to broaden their marketing reach to families, affinity groups and small businesses to create new selling opportunities,” said Scott Knutson, vice-president sales and marketing for Costa Cruises North America. “And an eight-cabin group sales threshold makes it easy to qualify for higher commissions and other special perks.”
The 10-night sailings offer a virtual circumnavigation of the region that includes both eastern and western Caribbean ports of call, while the 11-night cruises feature a deep exploration of the eastern Caribbean.
The 2,826-guest Costa Luminosa’s 10-night cruises call at Nassau, Bahamas; Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; Roatan, Honduras; and Cozumel, Mexico.
The 2,680-guest Costa Mediterranea’s 11-night cruises have slight variations in ports of call. All cruises feature Samana, Dominican Republic; Road Harbour, Tortola; St. John’s, Antigua; Point á Pitre, Guadeloupe; and Philipsburg, St. Maarten. Variations include calls at Nassau and/or Freeport, Bahamas; St. Bart’s; Grand Turk; or Key West, Fla.
