Air Greenland Takes Off From Canada
Air Promotion Group (APG), the North American representative for Air Greenland, has announced that beginning June 13 Air Greenland is re-introducing flights between Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada (YFB) and the capital of Greenland, Nuuk, Greenland (GOH).
From Nuuk, Air Greenland also provides onward domestic connections to most destinations within Greenland. Flights to Greenland will appeal to the growing corporate travel demand as well as to adventure travellers, tour operators, eco-tourists and FIT travellers.
Passengers from Ottawa will also have easy connections to the Air Greenland flights. Codeshare flights, using Air Greenland (GL) flight designators, have been established with First Air (7F) from Ottawa (YOW) and connecting in Iqaluit on to the Air Greenland flight to Nuuk.
For bookings and reservations, Air Greenland is active in BSP Canada and flights are displayed in all major GDS systems. However, at this time, Air Greenland only accepts cash-only payments.
Air Greenland uses Dash 8-200 aircraft for their flights between Canada and Greenland. Scheduled flights operate twice weekly, Mondays and Fridays. Flights are seasonal and begin June 13 and run through Sept. 15.
